Statement

[EN] In my paintings I explore the layers of unconscious influences that life and the world deposit in us, the currents, the complexity and the joy of living that cannot be captured by rational thought. This constant movement beneath the surface of existence is what interests me.

My process is intuitive and physical, the canvas lies on the floor and offers me a different kind of presence. By circling the work from shifting angles and positions, a freedom emerges to interpret and translate the complexity of the world.

Through an interplay of different painterly methods, I work with wonder as a fundamental condition, not as an aesthetic device, but as an exploration of the contradictory forces of life. In this exploration, I hope the viewer gains a sense of freedom and infinity.
